The Opportunity and role:
Our creative, collaborative, and talented biology group is looking for a strong addition to our team. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of cancer biology with experience in drug discovery to help drive one of our newest projects from early stages to clinical development. You will lead the biology efforts on a dynamic and passionate multi-disciplinary drug discovery team, developing and optimizing cell-based assays to enable screening and evaluation of leads, identifying the appropriate preclinical models, and managing in vivo studies to assess target engagement and efficacy. This is a unique opportunity to work cross functionally to build and advance a high impact program toward the clinic. The biologist will lead the biology project of Full-Life, working with senior team members to identify, develop, and advance pre-clinical proof of concept (PoC) for lead biologics. Deliver cutting edge research on novel targets that could benefit patients via conjugation with radio-isotopes. She/he will act as globally oriented innovator with ability to work across continents at the highest levels of innovation
Main Responsibilities and Duties :
Adapt scientific knowledge to plan, design, conduct and interpret studies for target discovery and lead analysis.
Implement, coordinate and active manage of all activities to achieve the set goal through cooperation of external vendors and research collaborators and ensure delivery on time and budget.
Review technical content of regulatory documents for IND’s, IMPD’s and other regulatory submissions.
Keep a thorough understanding of cutting-edge science in potential target discovery and lead analysis to constantly improve relevant skills.
Contribute to regular project meetings and providing verbal or written feedback to inform the team or management of progress.
Qualification
5+ years’ working experience with Master’s Degree; or 1+ years’ (working or postdoc) experience with PhD in systems biology, molecular biology, cancer biology or relevant discipline.
Experience in target discovery, validation, and pre-clinical development of biologics in the CRO or Biotech setting (Preferrable with experience on ADC)
Demonstrated track record or know-how in moving assets from target biology through preclinical and in-vivo POC.
Basic knowledge of designing and commissioning studies using a variety of in vitro and in vivo assay (Binding kinetics with ELISA, BIACORE and FACS, Stress testing with SEC-MALS, TSA, CIC and MS, efficacy studies using cell line xenograft model etc)
Proven ability to effectively manage technical projects conducted by external vendors and research collaborator.
Project management skills including contracting, budget tracking/control and timeline management.
Proven ability to multitask and coordinate parallel activities in a busy drug development program.
Effective communication and reporting with excellent Chinese and English written/presentation skills.
